Paul Varunok

Paul Varunok is senior vice president, co-head of securitized research and trading and portfolio manager for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income in San Mateo, California, United States. Mr. Varunok's primary responsibilities are mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and collateralized loan obligation (CLO) markets and has been managing MBS strategies for over 25 years and CLO allocation for over 10 years. Mr. Varunok has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, all of which has been dedicated to securitized and multi-sector investment.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Varunok structured collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO) and was the primary asset-backed securities (ABS) and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) analyst for Prudential Securities, Inc. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Varunok holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from New York University.
