Kin Chin, MBA, CFA, CAIA

Kin Chin is head of Retirement and Relationship Management at Franklin Templeton. He is a registered advisor and is responsible for managing and developing institutional client relationships across Canada. With over 20 years of experience in the investment industry, Mr. Chin held a number of positions in investment and client facing roles within the Canadian institutional market.

He joined the firm in 2020 from CI Global Asset Management where he was senior vice president within their Institutional business. Prior to CI, Mr. Chin was director of Investment and Product strategy at BlackRock. He started his career at Mercer where he was a principal within the Investment Consulting practice.

Mr. Chin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a MBA from York University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Toronto CFA Society and CFA Institute. Mr. Chin has also earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
