Hari Shyamsunder, CFA

Mr. Hari Shyamsunder is Vice President & Senior Client Portfolio Manager for Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt. Ltd. In his role, he engages with clients, distributors, and consultants, providing insights on the firm’s investment strategies and portfolio positions by collaborating with the investment and product teams.

Mr. Shyamsunder entered the investment management industry in 2009 with Franklin Templeton. Over the next decade, he was jointly responsible for FT India’s local mid and small-cap funds and was the lead research analyst for multiple sectors. Seeking new challenges and leadership opportunities, he served as the CEO of Navi AMC, an emerging mutual fund, for a year and a half. He rejoined Franklin Templeton in 2023, bringing with him a comprehensive understanding of both the investment and business aspects of the asset management industry.

Before joining investment management, he started his career in the oil and gas industry with BG Group (now Shell plc) in 2005.

Mr. Shyamsunder earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy. He is a CFA Charterholder.
